Been A while

Like the title says,it's been a while.I've been busy living my life.Been up at my camp lots working on the place.I decided that I want to keep the place for a while yet and not sell it. Spent most of my time there this summer building a new outhouse and wandering around the North Country.Had my 1971 Yamaha R5 with me in August so I got some riding time in.Bought a kayak too.Had that with me in August as well and had a load of fun going down this river into the wilderness.I'm thinking that next summer I will leave a bike there so I can always just throw a leg over and go.
I'm enjoying my time up at my camp.I went back up in late September when the leaves were changing. No bike or kayak this time,I was in my old 1976 Dodge Aspen.
It was a good trip.Finished the exterior of the outhouse then went wandering and exploring .Found three waterfalls I have never been to,hiked down some cool trails.met one of my new neighbors, had the wood stove going keeping us toasty warm.It was a real good trip.
The trip was over too soon,I could have stayed for a couple weeks but my wife needed to get back so it was over in a week and we are now back down here in Long Island ,NY. Got out kayaking the other day.It was an incredible day with blue skys and 80+ degrees F out.
Then yesterday it was a day of riding the Moto Guzzi ! Went out to eastern Long Island on her cruising around all afternoon. It was a great day and the bike ran like a top.
Fall is my favorite time of year to ride. Now I have to get my 4 two strokes all up and running .They love the cool weather so every fall I service them and use them for a few months before the fucking snow flies.Last year I was out on Christmas Day with all 5 bikes !So,over the next couple days I'll be bringing these beauties back to life from their sleep thru the long hot summer.
So,there you have it,I finally have updated my blog.Things are good with me and with any luck they will remain this way.I'm going to bring home a Yamaha DS7 to get going so I can take it up to the camp and leave it there for the season next year.Have to finish the DS6 that I've been working on & off on for a while.I bought new crank seals for her and fitted new tires on some nice wheels as you can see in the previous post.I've lost my way for a while, got distracted by outside forces, political drama and bullshit, and all the other crap that life in this never never land of the USA throws at us but now I'm going to start to move forward again.I'm 67 years old and time is getting short so I need to get to it !
